Fight Picker is operated by Anderhall Pty Limited, a company registered in Western Australia (ACN 698 681 300). This policy explains what personal information we collect through the Fight Picker app, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You can find out more about the company at anderhallptylimited.com.
We collect only what the app needs to work:
We do not collect payment details, because Fight Picker is free. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers for advertising. We do not sell personal information, and we do not show advertising in the app.
Fight Picker is a competitive app, so some information is public by design. Your username, avatar, points, accuracy statistics and leaderboard position are visible to other users. Your email address is never shown to other users.
Your tips for a fight are private until that fight locks. After a fight locks, other users can see what you picked. This is how competitions work and is not optional while you are using the app.
We use your information to create and secure your account, to score your tips and maintain leaderboards, to let you take part in competitions, and to send you essential account emails. We do not use it for marketing without your consent.
We use a small number of service providers to run the app. They process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
These providers may process data outside Australia in the course of providing their services. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle personal information appropriately.
We keep your information for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your personal information is deleted. Records of past competition results may be retained without any link to your identity, so that other members' historical standings remain intact.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app, under Settings. This permanently removes your account and personal information.
If you no longer have the app installed, or would prefer us to action it for you, email app@fight-picker.com and we will delete your account. We may need to confirm the request is genuinely from the account holder before acting on it.
You can view and update your username and avatar in the app under Edit Profile. To request access to the personal information we hold about you, or to have it corrected, email app@fight-picker.com.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls on our database, and storing authentication credentials with our authentication provider rather than in the app. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Fight Picker is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email app@fight-picker.com and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
For any privacy question, request or complaint, email app@fight-picker.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
